Academic Integrity Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
We mentor. You author. Everything we do is designed to help you understand, plan and improve your own doctoral work — the same kind of support a writing center, statistics consultant or experienced advisor provides.
What we do
- Explain theories, methods and coursework concepts until they make sense to you.
- Help you narrow a topic, frame a research gap and plan your chapters.
- Give line-by-line, professor-style feedback on drafts you write.
- Walk you through running and interpreting your own analysis in SPSS, Stata or Excel.
- Guide you through IRB applications and responses to reviewer feedback.
- Edit for language, clarity, APA 7 and formatting while keeping your voice and ideas.
- Explain similarity reports and teach proper paraphrasing and citation.
- Run mock defenses and give feedback on your slides.
What we never do
- Write papers, chapters, dissertations or doctoral projects for you to submit as your own.
- Complete graded assignments, quizzes or exams, or log in to your university accounts.
- Fabricate, falsify or manipulate data or results.
- Produce AI-generated text for you to submit.
- Help disguise copied or AI-generated content from similarity or AI-detection tools.
Your program’s rules come first
Universities differ on what outside help is allowed. Tell us about any rules in your program — for example, limits on editing — and we will work within them. Where your institution expects it, we encourage you to tell your advisor or committee that you are working with a mentor or editor.
If a request crosses the line
If we are asked to do something that would breach academic integrity, we will explain why and suggest a legitimate alternative. We may decline or end an engagement that cannot be kept within this policy, refunding any milestone not yet started (see our Terms & Refund Policy).
